No photographs
No image of you, your hair or your appointment is ever taken — not for the portfolio, not for reference, not 'just for the colour record'. The colour record lives in Melissa's head.
No names
The diary holds initials. Messages are deleted on a schedule. If a name must exist on paper for travel or invoicing, it is the name of an entity, not a person.
No records
There is no CRM, no client file, no cloud. Preferences, formulas and histories are memorised. The most sensitive database in this practice has a pulse.
No disclosure, even under flattery
Journalists, dinner parties, other clients, this website: the answer to 'who do you do?' has been the same warm refusal for a decade. It is not negotiable and not for sale.
Confidentiality runs both ways
NDAs are offered before they're requested and signed in both directions. What you tell the chair stays in the chair — and what the chair learns about your life was never its business to repeat.
Everyone present is bound
On the rare occasion an assistant or specialist joins, they are bound by the same terms before they know the booking exists. One standard, no exceptions, no juniors learning on you.
A breach closes the book
In ten years it has never happened. If it ever did, the practice would not apologise its way through it — it would end the arrangement, on either side. That is what makes the promise worth anything.

The safest place for your secrets is a business that never collected them.
No forms, no booking systems, no records you didn’t agree to. Write a line — or have your people write it — and Melissa will reply personally.
