01North daylight

The trapThe honest light — it shows ash where you wanted warmth and exposes any colour mixed for the salon's flattering bulbs instead of the street.

The answerEvery formula is checked at a north-facing window before it's called finished. If it only works indoors, it doesn't work.

02The boardroom LED

The trapCold, flat, overhead. It deadens mid-tones and turns an over-warm gloss brassy by the second agenda item.

The answerMid-tone weighting is set against cool LED first for clients who live under it — the boardroom is the venue, daylight is the holiday.

03Candlelight & restaurants

The trapEverything reads two shades warmer and darker. Colour balanced only for daytime disappears entirely at dinner.

The answerDimension is built in layers deep enough to catch low light — the reason candlelit hair looks expensive is that the expensive part was put underneath.

Great colour is never an event — it’s a slow arc that tracks the light you live in. By the time a season arrives, its colour was decided months ago.

Spring

The lift. Face-framing brightness returns in increments across two appointments — never one dramatic session that announces itself at Easter lunch.

Summer

Defence. UV filters in the regimen, salt and chlorine strategy for the Med and the pool, and a formula that fades toward something intentional instead of something orange.

Autumn

The deepening. Tone comes back down with the light — richer, denser, glossed for the long dark months of restaurants and lamplight.

Maintenance and repair. Gloss-only visits hold the surface; the structural work rests. By February the plan for spring is already mixed in her head.

Hand-painting, exclusively

Foiled stripes announce themselves the moment they grow. Freehand work is slower, harder and the only way colour grows out like it grew in — which is the whole game when nobody is supposed to know.

The root shadow

The quiet masterpiece of private colour: a deliberately deepened root that makes week eight look like week two. Built for clients whose diaries cannot promise regularity — the colour forgives the calendar.

Gloss weeks

Between structural appointments, twenty-minute gloss visits reset the surface — shine, tone, seal — with zero commitment and zero detectability. The hotel-suite favourite.

Corrective work, in silence

A respectable share of the colour book arrived as someone else's mistake. Banding, hot roots, a box-dye panic before an event — corrected over weeks, methodically, and never once mentioned again, including to the salon that did it.

Less than the industry trains you to expect. A properly engineered colour with a root shadow and gloss weeks typically needs structural work every ten to twelve weeks — the schedule is designed around your diary's honesty, not a salon's cashflow.
